Adobe Creativity Grants

Adobe Creative Cloud Donation Program

Adobe's Creative Cloud Donation Program reached 240 creative youth organizations from 43 countries. Each organization received up to 50 Adobe Creative Cloud Shared Device Licenses which gave their young creatives access to Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and InDesign and many more apps. These licenses allowed creative youth organizations to facilitate workshops and seminars to teach young creatives how they can use Adobe Creative Cloud tools to express themselves creatively and learn digital media skills that support them in paving their creative careers.

During the 2020 global pandemic, recipients of these donated licensees were provided with resources to support the facilitation of virtual creative programming for their young creatives. These resources gave the opportunity to develop not only their technical, media making skills such as film/photo editing, audio mixing, animation, etc., but also their cognitive and social skills such as problem solving, leadership, commitment, cross-cultural collaboration, etc. for success in school, work, and life. Between 2019 and 2020, over 16,000 shared device licenses were distributed which directly reached 58,213 young creatives.

Adobe Project Grant

The Adobe Project Grant reached 44 creative youth organizations from 18 countries through the distribution of $700,000 USD in monetary grants. These grants allowed creative youth organizations to build upon their existing programming to drive opportunities that ensure equitable access to creative education for a more inclusive and diverse creative field.

These creative youth organizations implemented new creative community projects, extended on intensive summer mentorship programs, conducted collaborative projects between countries; invited industry experts for staff members professional development training;, and expanded the capacity and reach of a current digital media program. The goal of these projects was to provide young people spaces and opportunities to develop and grow their creative, technical, and cognitive skills for success in school, work, and life.

Creativity can be a powerful tool and source of expression. During the 2020 global pandemic, the creative youth organization project grant recipients were not discouraged from finding innovative ways to continue to engage with their young creatives. Instead, they revamped, redesigned and reworked their programming to continue to connect and inspire their young creatives to work with the uncertainties of this unique time. From Instagram challenges to virtual workshops, these organizations continued to deliver programs that teach their young creatives new ways to create various types of media pieces using the limited technical resources available at home.

We would like to thank all of the 44 creative youth organizations for their partnership and leadership in the creative industry, as they pave and create the pathways for the next generation of young creatives as they pursue their creative careers.
